Recycling & Garbage

The Town Waste/Recycling Center is open to Town of Harmony residents only. Please keep in mind this is intended for household materials. Demolition or construction materials in excess of 2 yards will be rejected.

Hours:
Saturdays from 7am-12:00pm
Tuesdays from 3:30pm-6:30pm

Clean-up days are the first Saturday in April, and the last Saturday in September. Materials which usually require a fee for processing will be accepted for free during Clean-up.

2024 Spring clean-up is scheduled for Saturday, April 6, 8am-5pm.

2024 Fall clean-up is scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 8am-5pm.

Household Hazardous Waste: The Town of Harmony DOES NOT accept hazardous waste at its recycling center.

Vernon county residents are able to take hazardous material, for a fee, to the La Crosse County Hazardous Waste Program throughout the year. They may also take the material to The Vernon County Solid Waste and Recycling Facility annual Clean Sweep event in May or September.

NO TIRES ON RIMS WILL BE ACCEPTED

Flourescent Bulbs = $.50 each
PCB Ballast = $1.00 each
Mercury Bulbs = $5.00 each
LED Bulbs = $2.50 each
Vapor Bulbs = $5.00 each

Appliances and Electronics = $15.00 each (Clean-up day only - 2 free per household)
Refrigerators, Freezers, Microwaves, Televisions, Computers, Monitors, Printers, Stoves, Washers, Dryers, etc

Mattresses = $20/ea or $30/set (box spring and mattress)
Construction Demolition = $50/ton

NO PAINT (even on Clean-up day)
